OXOS Medical, Love & Life Foundation, and MEDIC Corps team up to deploy MC2 portable X-ray units to disaster zones.
ATLANTA, GA (August 12, 2026) – OXOS Medical today announced it is working alongside the Love & Life Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and MEDIC Corps, a rapid response and disaster intervention team, to deploy its MC2 portable X-ray system to Venezuela in support of humanitarian relief efforts.
The devastating earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24 have left over 16,000 people injured (1). For medical teams working in the rubble, the ability to diagnose injuries quickly is critical, yet in crisis zones imaging is rarely available. According to the World Health Organization, more than 4 billion people worldwide lack access to diagnostic medical imaging (2).
Collaborators
The Love & Life Foundation, founded by Matt and Paige Wideman, works to fill the transportation and logistics gap between NGOs and larger government organizations, delivering search and rescue, first aid, evacuation support, and basic necessities to communities hit hardest by disaster. This collaboration grew out of a relationship between Evan Ruff and Matt Wideman, both members of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO). As part of its mission in Venezuela, the foundation is transporting the MC2 into the field, where it will be operated by physicians on the ground with Paige mentioning, “[t]here is no greater honor than to be a conduit of hope in a time of tragedy. May God bless those in need and be near to the brokenhearted. Love and Life Foundation is here to steward resources and to be the hands and feet of Christ as he equips us each step of the way.”
MEDIC Corps is coordinating the on-site response and diagnostics on the ground in Venezuela, with MC2’s first stop being a clinic.
MC2’s role
With an Emitter weighing just 8 lbs and requiring no fixed infrastructure, the MC2 can be carried into remote and resource-limited environments, bringing portable X-ray capability directly to patients in need. Its low radiation profile makes it appropriate for pediatric and adult patients, and images are transmitted wirelessly, enabling physicians to make informed treatment decisions quickly.
